Pond and Fish House (in the back)

So today was a bit of a take it easy day.  We actually woke up at a decent time (9am) got Connor fed and took showers, only to all fall asleep about an hour later (ha ha!)  We attempted this again around noon, got up, got Connor ready and we headed out to have some fried fish.   Now the restaraunts here in Poland are a bit different.  Its not a huge row of places to eat like on Bell Road, these are mom and pop places hidden all over the city.  Each one has a speciality and they pretty much look the same, large places that look like homes, with inside and outside seating, run by the family and the restaraunt is never packed but it is nice and quiet.  Today we went to a fish house, and when I mean fish house, I mean they have a pond in front where they grow the fish and then they catch them and cook them.  Jon had fried trout and I had fried halibut.  Again, not like US fish, it comes out fried with the skin on and bones still attached.  Mine just looked like the side of the fish, but I will spare you the photo of the trout for it was head, tail and all, so it literally looked like a "fried fish" on his plate.
We met up with their cousins again, Tomek and Pawel. We got to see where Tomek lives which again is also very interesting.  In the states, we are all about "I want bigger" even if we don't need bigger.  Tomek has a very nice flat, be it small but it is a studio apartment with pretty much everything he needs. I thought it was great because it was just perfect from him and if I was living alone, I would want to live in something similar, as long as I could have an animal (jury is still out if it would be a cat or dog).
Connor was a bit difficult today, if you can believe it, its 11:45pm and that monster just went down about 15 minutes ago. He was very whiney and I think it was because he was just tired of being the floor and crawling around, the minute we got into the car he was fine.  We walked around a park in the city of Cieplice. It was chilly out and it sprinkled a bit but a nice walk none the less.  After that we went to a pizza place (where Connor again was a bit of a pill) and has some excellent pizza.  We will definately be going back there again.

Not really too much more to say, I'm going to post some of the more "interesting or funny" photos that I have taken over the pasted few days.  Enjoy!  Tomorrow, we will visit Gregor's shops (he owns 3 motorcycle shops here in Jelenia Gora) and we will be spending time with his family in the evening.

The drive thru menu at McDonalds. Hope you have good eye sight! No "value meal" here!
That's a large coke.  No refills

This is how I found my son last night!

This is the size Coke you get, no ice, no refills (it is served cold).  Also thats ketchup, that they charge
you for and it takes like BBQ sauce.
Jon and I in the park
School crossing sign.  Its supposed to be a
lollipop but it looks like a balloon to me!
